Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator -
Latino Survival English Classes Program Volunteer Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Latino Ministries
Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is a

SUMMARY:
Under the Director of Latino Ministries supervision, this person will assist
in coordinating the Latino Survival Classes program in St. Paul. This
requires comprehensive administration, organizational, and operational
skills and special knowledge; coordinates various program-related reports,
and maintenance of program databases; participates in operational planning
and coordinates the development of unit operating policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the designs, coordinate,
implement, monitor, and evaluate the Latino Survival English Classes program
in St. Paul.

Establishes relationship with
participating Latino students and families.

Responsible in Celebrating
Latino/Hispanic holidays and events.

Create all program releases,
documentation and flyers in Spanish
-
Design, coordinate and implement the
specific program curriculum and daily activities.

Confer with the Director of Latino
Ministries to review achievements and issues impacting reaching targeting
goals.

Serves as administrative liaison and
coordinates interaction between Latino clients and UGM Latino Ministries.

Assists in transporting participating
clients to and from Latino Ministries facility.

Assists in recruiting, training, and
managing program bilingual (English & Spanish) volunteers for the purpose of
program expansion.

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties
as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated Christian maturity and passion for ministry. Associate degree
or 3-4 years experience related to the duties and responsibilities
specified. Fluent in English & Spanish (Verbal & Written) required.
Passionate for Latino Community. Must complete a background check with no
history of violence or sexual offenses.

Ability to train and supervise volunteers
and, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

Competent in use of computers and
Microsoft Office software applications.

Ability to be self motivated and
demonstrate initiative.

Growing faith in Jesus Christ and support
of the UGM’s statement of Christian faith and share that faith and knowledge
with staff and clients.

Possess a valid MN Driver’s License and
able to operate a UGM vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL
EFFORT:

Work may be performed in a typical
interior/office work environment and/or exterior/outdoor environment.

Limited physical effort required.

Limited exposure to physical risk.
