Job Title: Dentist - Part Time
Reports To: Director of Dental Clinic
Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is a

SUMMARY:
Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and
gums, and related oral structures: Examines patient to determine nature of
condition, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic
procedures. Cleans, fills, extracts, and replaces teeth, using rotary and
hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements.
Provides preventive dental services to patient, such as applications of
fluoride and sealants to teeth, and education in oral and dental hygiene.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides preventive dental services to

education in oral and dental hygiene.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties
as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
General Licensed Dentist
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED:

Ability to foster a cooperative work
environment.

Knowledge and understanding of the
integrated professional, technical, and administrative principles and
procedures of a dental clinic..

Ability to maintain quality, safety,
and/or infection control standards.

Knowledge of patient grievance principles
and procedures.
-
Dental practice skills.
-
Ability to provide technical guidance and
leadership to professional personnel in area of expertise.

Is supportive of UGM’s Mission statement
and mindful of Christian behavior to all clients and the community.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL
EFFORT:
-
Work involves moderate exposure to
unusual elements, such as fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud
noises.
-
Light physical effort. Requires handling
of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Work environment involves exposure to
potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following
extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective
equipment.
