Union Gospel Mission works to meet the needs of homeless men, women and children in the Twin Cities and public support is key to sustaining and advancing Union Gospel Mission’s passion for changing lives. Each year, roughly 85% of every dollar spent on operating needs comes from generous public support. If you would like to help the homeless people who come to us for assistance, please consider one of the alternatives listed below:

Planned Giving

Clothing
Clothing that is clean and in good condition can be dropped off at our Central Services building located at 435 University Avenue East, St. Paul. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For directions, click here or call 651-292-1721.

Call (651) 228-1800 to make a gift by credit card or to speak to a donor relations officer. Our friendly donor services associates are available to assist you during regular business hours. If you call at another time, please leave a message and your call will be returned during regular business hours.

Matching gifts
Many employers have matching-gift programs through which your generosity to Union Gospel Mission can be multiplied. As a non-profit human services organization, Union Gospel Mission is eligible for many matching-gift programs of corporations, foundations, and other organizations.

Stocks and other property
Gifts of appreciated securities offer tax advantages including forgiveness of the tax on capital gain and an income tax charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities. You also can make gifts of property such as real estate, life insurance, and retirement accounts. These gifts provide tax advantages and may require independent appraisals to meet Internal Revenue Service(IRS) guidelines.

Electronic delivery of stock shares is the most secure and expedient delivery process available and provides efficient internal control as well as cost savings. Please instruct your broker to deliver stock via DTC to:
